The Fifth Annual Bishop Peter Rosazza Social Justice Conference. This year's theme of "Rooted in Faith, Building a Better World", was inspired by a similar message from Pope Francis at World Youth Day 2013.

The Archdiocese of Hartford Office for Catholic Social Justice Ministry event was held on June 14, 2014, at Saint Paul High School in Bristol, CT. The keynote speaker was nationally renowned artist Brother Michael O'Neill McGrath, OSFS. Brother Mickey spoke of the great Catholic social worker and journalist, Dorothy Day, using a combination of collected stories and his own artwork to illuminate her beautiful journey of faith and service. Great presentation by Brother Mickey!

The 1st Annual Bishop Peter A. Rosazza Faith and Justice Award was also presented to John Ryan of St Bridget Church in Manchester, CT for his outstanding work in social justice within the Archdiocese of Hartford. For many in attendance who have known John and his work through the years, this was the highlight of the day.
