Sunday Mass on Mother's Day followed by a May Crowning of a statue of Mary in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. 1st May Crowning at the Cathedral of St Joseph (Hartford) that parishioners could remember taking place in years. The majority stayed for the procession and crowning that ended with a stirring rendition of Salve Regina. Children who had received their First Holy Communion two weeks ago where encouraged to wear their First Communion clothes to the crowning. The young children processed up with flowers to lay at the feet of Mary. Nicely done.
