Archdiocese of Hartford Office of Black Catholic Ministries 10th Annual Holy Mass celebrating Black History Month. Principal celebrant, The Most Reverend Henry J. Mansell, D.D. and homilist, Deacon Arthur L. Miller, Director, Office of Black Catholic Ministries.
Coming on the heels of Storm Charlotte and 30 inches snow, the attendance was light, but all were spirited. Dedicated members of the Archdiocesan Gospel Choir enhanced the liturgy with their joyful praise in song.

Deacon Miller's homily was outstanding - can't be afraid to love everyone. Only way to get beyond injustices still present for the black community in our nation - disproportionate number of the incarcerated, high unemployment, primary victims of gun violence among them.
